Kimberly Cogdell Boies, Partner


Ms. Boies concentrates her practice in the areas of health care, and immigration. Additionally, Ms. Boies teaches Torts, Bioethics, Health Law, and Insurance Law. Her research interests include health care reform, emerging issues in bioethics, the use of DNA as scientific evidence and international development focusing on Afro-Latino populations. Additionally, Ms. Boies is the director and co-founder of the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Law Institute (BPLI). She is also the founder and director of the School of Law’s summer study abroad program.


Kimberly Cogdell Boies received a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Hampton University. She received her Juris Doctor and Master of Public Health specializing in Health Policy and Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
